LES HOFFMAN, B.Math

Les Hoffman has been working with small to medium size businesses since 1984. He consulted with and offered implementation assistance to companies in computerizing their businesses at a time when computer systems and business software was just becoming widely available.

Les graduated from the University of Waterloo Co-Op Chartered Accountancy Program in 1981 where he received his Bachelor of Mathematics. Les concentrated his education on Computer Science and Accounting and spent many years in public accounting firms working with owner managed small businesses.

Les has many clients for which he acts as IT Manager, and is responsible for installing, maintaining and training in networks and software systems. As a computer programmer, Les has developed many useful tools and programs, which continue to operate today in many companies. Les is knowledgeable in most of the major operating systems including Unix, Linux, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and WinXX systems.

Les' clients cover a broad range of industries from manufacturing to retail/wholesale distribution. His unique combination of practical business experience and technical knowledge and ability allows him to quickly assess situations and make effective value-added recommendations for solving computer-related problems.

In 1996, Les formed a division of his company, currently known as NetVector Commerce Inc., where he leads a team that develops e-business solutions and web sites for business. His company also provides a 24/7 monitored hosting facility. Les has helped many businesses develop their business strategies for using the Internet and implementation plans for ensuring safe environments for corporate computing. (ie. Firewall, Virus and Security)

Les has held a position on the Board of Directors of a public company as technology advisor and has for the past 5 years been Treasurer/Director of a non-profit organization located in Newmarket, Ontario.

Les lives in Aurora, ON with his wife and 3 children.
